This Australian-first survey, funded by Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise (SPHERE) and led by the University of Technology Sydney Institute for Sustainable Futures in collaboration with NSW Smart Sensing Network and the University of Newcastle FASTLAB, explores critical questions: Do older Australians want sensor technology in their homes? What’s their understanding of the tech? Would they pay for it?
Preliminary findings, shared at the NSSN’s 3rd Ageing Forum at NSW Parliament House, reveal the potential of smart technologies to transform care, reduce strain on the healthcare system, and enhance the quality of life for older Australians.
It’s inspiring to see academia, industry, and government come together to address these challenges, and we’re excited to be part of this journey. Together, we’re shaping the future of aged care.
